Goodbye

Goodbye blogger. This is the last post you will ever get from me. Well, unless i do it in eighth grade, in which case this is the last post you will get from me in a long time. The quarter ends tomorrow, so i wont be back in technology class until eighth grade. I am sorry to see it go, because I really enjoyed this class. But I'm excited for my next class, which i believe is art. I will have to finish my power point today. It is a presentation comparing acting and photography. So far it looks really great. I feel sort of drained today, if you havent noticed by the way i'm writing. I feel like i can't focus on one topic for very long. Oh well. Bye people. See you next year.

What I Learned This Quarter

This quarter in technology class has been very exciting and interesting! I learned all about typing, and using the correct techniques while you are typing. I also learned all about using Microsoft Word, and Blogger. My favorite thing about technology has been blogging. Blogging gives me a chance to express myself without having to worry about others judging me. It is fun to express my opinions about the topics given to me by Mrs. Debolt. My least favorite thing was probably paper work, because I am a computer addict, so when I come into class, it's sort of a downer to have to break out the old pen and paper. Other than that, everything is great. I really enjoy timed typing tests, simply because I am good at them. I am a competitive person, and I take pride in being one of the faster typers in the class.

To P.E.? or not to P.E.?

I do not think physical education should be a mandatory class. I think P.E. is bias. Some students are simply not as good of athletes as others, so those students are given lower grades because of their own physical abilities. Those students also (most of the time) get teased for their lack of physical strength. Now i will admit, this blog is bias, because I am one of the students who is not very good at anything when it has to do with P.E. I'm not saying that P.E. should be completely canceled at all, I just think it should be our choice to make. If they make us do P.E. they should also have to make everyone take other classes that have nothing to do with their education, and cause unnecessary bad grades.

My $100

If I had $100, I would give it to my mom to help her pay the bills. She is unemployed, and is currently going to school. (my dad offers no financial support.) If she had enough to more to pay her bills, we could do more stuff together, and i have been missing her lately cuz she's not always around. Maybe we could go to the zoo, or the park with my sisters.

My Science Experiment

In about 2 weeks, our school is having a science fair. I am doing my experiment on crickets. I'm trying to see how different substances repel crickets. I made a contraption with two bottles, and a toilet paper roll. I put 10 crickets in one bottle, and put some tomato slices in the other. Connecting the two bottles was the toilet paper roll.  I put each substance (cinnamon, baby powder, and salt) in the toilet paper roll, and waited to see how many crickets could make it to the other side. The crickets hated the cinnamon, loved playing in the baby powder, and actually ate the salt. It was really cool to see them eating the tomatoes.

The Drama!

As I have said before, I love the performing arts. I especialy love acting. Acting is a way of getting to be someone you are not. It's like when you were little, and you played pretend. But when you are acting, you are told what character you will play. I love the entire concept of being in a play or movie. I would love learning, and memorizing my lines. Plus, I would be famous! I want everyone to know my name. I want them to come up to me on the streets saying, "Arent you the girl from that one show?" So far, I haven't had any "big breaks", but I'm taking an acting class at my mom's college. That is really fun. But my dream is to star in a production at the Muny.
